Become an LOCC Volunteer!

LOCC is entirely dependent on the generosity of our volunteers and donors. Not funded by any government or religious body, we are a registered not-for-profit 501(C)(3) charitable organization.

Volunteers assist our two paid employees to keep our overhead expenses to a minimum. Our volunteers perform the following tasks. To offer your services or find out more, call (423) 624-3222 between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM Tuesday through Saturday.

* Resale Store clerks. Work the register in our store and assist our customers. Training available. Minimum commitment of 3 hours per month, with flexibility of scheduling.

* Resale Store stocking/pricing clerks. Accept, sort, price and display donated items. Training available. Minimum commitment of 3 hours per month, with some flexibility of scheduling.

* Layette volunteer. Work with our layette team to make and/or purchase needed items for stocking our layette baskets. Minimum commitment of 3 hours per month, with some flexibility of scheduling and location of service. Some of this work can be done at home.

Minimum commitment of 3 hours per month on Tuesdays only, with some flexibility as to what Tuesday you will work. Location of service is Chattanooga Food Bank on Amnicola Highway near downtown Chattanooga.

* Hospitality/Spiritual Life volunteer. Work with a committee to plan and implement LOCC's periodic general meetings and meaningful prayer activities for our members.
